After consulting with a group of visual artists and academics in Iraq and abroad, we are planning to launch a series of lectures to support the field of visual arts in Baghdad. The aim is to raise awareness of creative productions in Iraq and provide support for artistic activities.
The Critical and Aesthetic Studies Unit of Iwan Gallery, led by the Ibrahimi Collection in Baghdad, has been formed as a voluntary initiative. The unit includes professors Dr. Salam Jabbar, Dr. Fakher Mohammed, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Kanani.
The unit has already held three meetings over the past three months and has approved a cultural program for the next ten months. This program will begin with a series of lectures and discussion sessions.
Before the lectures, the unit will release its founding statement, outlining its goals, objectives, and future cultural activities. Dr. Fakher Mohammed will deliver this statement.
Wait for our latest news for the sake of art, culture, and beauty.
