  • Iraqi painter born in 1939 in the city of Suwayrah, Wasit, central Iraq.
  • 1944 - 1956 Completed his primary, middle and high school studies in Iraq.
  • 1959 - 1962 Obtained a diploma with honors from IFA, Baghdad.
  • 1964 Held his 1st solo exhibition in the British Studies Center hall, Baghdad, the 2nd one held at AFMC in 1966, a 3rd in 1968 in Gallery One, Beirut, the 4th in 1970, 5th in 1974, and 6th in 1978, all at INMMA, Baghdad. Held 3 solo exhibitions at Sultan Gallery, Kuwait in 1974, 1977, and 1987.
  • 1965 Co-founded the Innovators Group, participated in its 2nd exhibition in 1967, 4th one in 1968.
  • 1969 Co-founded the Towards a New Vision Group, and participated in its exhibitions.
  • From 1971 onwards, participated in many art exhibitions inside and outside Iraq.
  • 1977 Held solo exhibitions at the Bennani Gallery, Rabat, and the Boudicca Gallery, London.
  • 1978 Held a solo exhibition at the Norske Graphic Gallery in Oslo, Norway.
  • 1979 Left Iraq and held a solo exhibition at Gallery Dana in Doha, Qatar.
  • 1980 Held a solo exhibition at Al-Riwaq Gallery in Baghdad, and another at Al-Ain Gallery in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
  • 1981 Settled in Alameda, California, the USA with his family.
  • 1986 Held a solo exhibition entitled "Fragments from Ancient Books" at Alif Gallery in Washington DC, USA.
  • Currently lives and works full time in art in California, USA.
