Iraqi painter born in 1939 in the city of Suwayrah, Wasit, central Iraq.
1944 - 1956 Completed his primary, middle and high school studies in Iraq.
1959 - 1962 Obtained a diploma with honors from IFA, Baghdad.
1964 Held his 1st solo exhibition in the British Studies Center hall, Baghdad, the 2nd one held at AFMC in 1966, a 3rd in 1968 in Gallery One, Beirut, the 4th in 1970, 5th in 1974, and 6th in 1978, all at INMMA, Baghdad. Held 3 solo exhibitions at Sultan Gallery, Kuwait in 1974, 1977, and 1987.
1965 Co-founded the Innovators Group, participated in its 2nd exhibition in 1967, 4th one in 1968.
1969 Co-founded the Towards a New Vision Group, and participated in its exhibitions.
From 1971 onwards, participated in many art exhibitions inside and outside Iraq.
1977 Held solo exhibitions at the Bennani Gallery, Rabat, and the Boudicca Gallery, London.
1978 Held a solo exhibition at the Norske Graphic Gallery in Oslo, Norway.
1979 Left Iraq and held a solo exhibition at Gallery Dana in Doha, Qatar.
1980 Held a solo exhibition at Al-Riwaq Gallery in Baghdad, and another at Al-Ain Gallery in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
1981 Settled in Alameda, California, the USA with his family.
1986 Held a solo exhibition entitled "Fragments from Ancient Books" at Alif Gallery in Washington DC, USA.
Currently lives and works full time in art in California, USA.
