1965 Artist Ali Al-Mimar was born in the capital, Baghdad, Iraq.
1972 - 1981 He completed his primary and middle school studies in Baghdad.
1981 - 1985 He studied and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
1991 He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
1985 He held his first solo exhibition at Al-Tahrir Hall in Baghdad, and participated in the Youth Festival and won the gold medal by Faik Hassan for painting.
1993 He held a solo exhibition at Alia Gallery in Amman, Jordan, and a solo exhibition at Al-Orfali Hall in Amman.
1994 He held a solo exhibition in Qatar.
1995 He held a solo exhibition in Qatar.
1996 He held a solo exhibition in Qatar and a solo exhibition at the Sharjah Art Museum in Sharjah, UAE.
1997 He held a solo exhibition at Al-Mushrif Gallery in Amman and participated in the Sharjah International Biennale of Fine Arts in Sharjah.
1999 He participated in the Sharjah International Biennale of Fine Arts in Sharjah and the "Expressing Faces" exhibition at the Emirates Fine Arts Association.
2000 H was appointed a supervisor of fine arts at the University of Sharjah and established the first painting studio for students.
2001 He held a solo exhibition during the International Horse Beauty Contest and participated in the Sharjah International Biennale of Fine Arts and the exhibition "House of the Artist - The Fourth Session" at the Sharjah Art Museum in Sharjah and an exhibition in Toulouse, France.
2004 He participated in the Arabian Horse Exhibition at the London Museum in the United Kingdom.
2014 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Neighing in a Time of Silence" in the Cultural Village of Katara, in which 35 works of his art were exhibited.
2017 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Neighing in a Time of Silence", organized by the Qatar Plastic Arts Association, in which 20 works of his art works were exhibited and participated in the Kuwait International Exhibition during the Kuwait International Championship for Arabian Horses in Kuwait.
He is practicing painting from his Studio, and works as an art supervisor at the University of Sharjah in Sharjah, UAE.
