1963 Artist Ali Risan was born in the capital, Baghdad, Iraq.
1970 - 1980 He completed his primary, middle and high school studies in Baghdad.
1984 - 1988 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a BA in sculpture.
1985 He participated in the first exhibition of the International Association of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
1987 He participated in the second exhibition of the International Association of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
1988 He participated in the Baghdad International Festival for Plastic Art in Baghdad.
1993 He participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Sculpture Exhibition at the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
1993 - 1994 He participated in the International Babylon Festival.
1994 - 2000 He participated in the exhibitions of contemporary Iraqi art at Baghdad Hall in Baghdad.
1995 - 2004 He participated in the exhibitions of contemporary Iraqi sculpture at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad
1997 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Bronze Coats" at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad.
2001 He participated in the exhibition "Experiences in Contemporary Arab Art" at Bisan Gallery in Qatar.
2004 He held a solo exhibition entitled "After the War" at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad and participated in the exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Damascus and Aleppo, Syria.
2005 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Chair" at Dar Al-Anda in Amman, Jordan.
2009 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Chair" at Madarat Hall in Baghdad.
2011 He obtained a master's degree in colored sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad University.
2014 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Bronze Sculptures" at the College of Fine Arts in Wasit and participated in the Plastic Art Festival marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Communist Party at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad.
2015 He participated in the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2017 He participated in the Iraqi sculpture exhibition at the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2018 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Colorful Faces" at the College of Fine Arts in Wasit and participated in the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2019 He participated in the Iraqi sculpture exhibition at the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad, and the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
He lives in the city of Kut, Wasit Governorate, Iraq and teaches sculpture at the College of Fine Arts at Wasit University.
