1955 Artist Rouya Raouf Hassan was born in Babel Governorate, central Iraq, and she is the daughter of the well-known poet and writer Raouf Hassan al-Jubouri, founder of Al-Hilla newspaper and editor-in-chief of Al-Ghad and Al-Hikma magazine.
1962 - 1972 She completed her elementary, middle and high school studies.
1973 – 1978 She studied and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
1988 She held a solo exhibition at Al-Riwaq Hall in Baghdad.
1989 She held a solo exhibition entitled "Thought and Man" at Al-Riwaq Hall in Baghdad.
She participated in an exhibition entitled "Rouya and Shatha" with the artist Shatha Hassan Al-Rawi, in which she exhibited 21 artworks in Baghdad.
1991 She held a solo exhibition entitled "Man and his Symbols" at Al-Riwaq Hall in Baghdad.
1994 She held a solo exhibition entitled "The Vision" at Al-Orfali Hall in Baghdad.
1998 She participated in an exhibition of pioneering Iraqi artists and contemporary artists in the Art Department in Baghdad.
2000 She held a solo exhibition entitled "Think and Painting" at Rouya Hall in Baghdad.
2001 She held a solo exhibition at Broadway Hall in Amman, Jordan.
2002 She held a solo exhibition entitled "Faces and Mirrors" at Al-Hussein Cultural Center in Amman. She participated in an exhibition of five contemporary artists and seven works in the Department of Arts in Baghdad, an exhibition of seven artists and ten works at the UNESCO Palace Hall in Beirut.
2003 She held a solo exhibition at the Venezuelan Embassy in Baghdad.
2006 She held a solo exhibition entitled "Ishtar" at the Picasso Hall in Cairo, Egypt.
2008 She participated in the exhibition "Women, Music and Colors" at Al-Jasra Art Club in Doha, Qatar.
2009 She participated in the exhibition "Three from afar" by contemporary Iraqi artists in Dessau, Germany.
2011 She held a solo exhibition at the Deaver Keller Hall in Leipzig and participated in an exhibition by artists from different countries at the Leipzig Center in Germany.
2012 She participated in an exhibition of artists from different countries in Leipzig, Germany.
2013 She held a solo exhibition entitled "Feelings and Symbols" at the Hall of Women's Culture in Leipzig, Germany.
2014 She participated in an exhibition by Iraqi artists on human rights in Berlin, Germany.
She worked as a teacher at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad and worked as a Fine Arts Supervisor in the Directorate of Artistic Activity in schools of the Iraqi Ministry of Education and Theater Activity Supervisor in Baghdad and Basra High Schools. She also worked as a drawing teacher in Al-Jasra Club and held training courses for graphic arts at the Optical Center in Doha, Qatar.
She established Rouya hall in Baghdad, in which many art exhibitions were held.
She held several solo exhibitions and participated in many art exhibitions inside and outside Iraq.
