  • 1943 Born in Basra, Iraq.
  • 1968 Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a BA in Fine Arts.
  • 1964 Held his first solo exhibition in the local administration in Basra.
  • 1974 - 1975 Assigned to the Regional Center for Cultural Property Preservation at the Ministry of Culture and Information in Baghdad.
  • 1977 Participated in the Fourth April Exhibition at the Hall of the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
  • 1986 Obtained a master's degree in "Art Education" from Indiana University and his PhD in "Archeology" from Indiana University, USA.
  • 1992 - 1993 Headed the design department at the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
  • 2016 Wrote several art books during his career, including "An Encyclopedia of Buddhist Religion and Mythology", published by Dar Al-Shorouk in Amman, Jordan.
  • 2021 Wrote the "Encyclopedia of Plastic Arts", published by the House of Arts for Printing and Publishing in Basra.
  • He held and participated in many exhibitions inside and outside Iraq.
  • Lives in Baghdad.
  • Member of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association, the Union of Arab Historians, the Iraqi Archaeologists and Historians Association, and the World Council of Antiquities.
  • Founding member of the Dijla University College, and the International Organization for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage in Times of Armed Conflicts.
