1958 Artist Hana Mallalah was born in Dhi Qar province in Iraq.
1965 - 1975 She completed her elementary, middle and high school studies in Baghdad’s schools.
1975 - 1979 She studied and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad, and obtained a diploma in Graphic Art.
1984 - 1988 She studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad, and obtained a BA in Painting.
1987 She held her first solo exhibition at Al-Riwaq Hall in Baghdad.
1988 She participated in the retrospective exhibition of sketches at Al-Rasheed Hall in Baghdad.
1991 She held her second solo exhibition at Saddam Art Center in Baghdad and participated in an anthology exhibition of contemporary Iraqi art at Saddam Art Center and the eighth Al-Wasiti Festival in Baghdad.
1992 She participated in the Mahres Festival, "New Experiences in Contemporary Plastic Art" in Tunis.
1993 She held her third solo exhibition entitled "Baghdad: Geography, People and Signs" at Saddam Art Center in Baghdad.
1994 She held her fourth solo exhibition, entitled "Pursuing the Trace", at Nadhar hall in Baghdad, and participated in the exhibition of the One Dimension Group at Abaad Hall in Amman.
1995 She held her fifth solo exhibition entitled "Pursuing the Trace" at Abaad Hall in Amman and participated in the Autumn Exhibition at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad.
1996 She held her sixth solo exhibition entitled "Icon of Environment" at the Hiwar Hall in Baghdad and participated in the exhibition "Artists as Critics" at Hiwar Hall, the Youth exhibition at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad, the One Dimension Group exhibition at the Abaad Hall in Amman, and an anthology exhibition of contemporary Iraqi art in Riwaq Risan in Baghdad and Gallery of Contemporary Iraqi Art at Athar Gallery in Baghdad.
1997 She participated in the exhibition "The Environment of Iraqi Art" at the Jordanian National Museum in Amman.
1998 She held her seventh solo exhibition entitled "Schedules and Signals" at Athar Gallery in Baghdad and participated in the exhibition "Spaces in Adventure and Experimentation" at Baghdad Hall in Baghdad.
1999 She held her eighth solo exhibition of drawings at Athar Gallery in Baghdad.
2000 She obtained a master's degree in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and participated in the exhibition "Significance of Experimentation" at the Baghdad Hall in Baghdad and the Iraqi Art exhibition at the Institute of the Arab World in Paris, and a joint exhibition with artists Ghassan Gha’eb and Kareem Risan at Athar Hall in Baghdad and the exhibition "Strokes of Genius: Contemporary Iraqi Art" at the Brunei Gallery, London.
2002 She held her ninth solo exhibition at Dar Al Anda in Amman, and participated in the Iraqi Art Exhibition in China, the Baghdad International Festival for Plastic Art, and the Arab Creative Women Conference in Tunis.
2003 She participated in the exhibition "Iraq: Before, After, Now" at the Deluxe Gallery in London, the exhibition "Women Artists from the Islamic World" in Spain and Paris in France, and the exhibition "Tawashyjat: Between Poet and Artists" at the Royal Jordanian Museum in Amman, and the "Expressions of Hope" exhibition in Aya Gallery in London.
2004 She participated in the exhibition "Greetings to Shaker Hassan Al Said" at the Orfali Hall in Amman, the exhibition "Artists' Books, Ten Iraqi Artists, the World Book Fair" in Frankfurt, Germany, and the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition in Dubai, UAE.
2005 She obtained a PhD in Philosophy of Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad, and her thesis topic was "Logic Order in Ancient Mesopotamian Painting" and she held her tenth solo exhibition at Dar Al Anda in Amman. She participated in the Iraqi art exhibition at the East West Foundation in Amsterdam in the Netherlands and the exhibition "Greetings to Shaker Hassan Al Said, Greetings to Ismael Fattah" at Athar Hall in Baghdad and a joint exhibition with artists Ghassan Gha’eb and Kareem Risan in Athar Hall in Baghdad and the Book Art exhibition Contemporary Iraqi at the College of Texas in the United States of America and the Contemporary Iraqi Exhibition in Paris.
She taught at the Institute of Fine Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad before leaving Iraq.
2006 She held her eleventh solo exhibition at Al-Bareh Gallery in Bahrain and traveled to France for a short period, where she was given a fellowship.
2007 She participated in the exhibition "The Red Zone, the Green Zone" in Gemak Den Haag in the Netherlands and the exhibition "Sophisticated Ways: Destruction of an Ancient City" at Aya Gallery in London and decided to settle down and live in London.
2008 She obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Islamic and Modern Art from the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London, and she studied in the Department of Arts and Archeology and obtained a degree in Academic English for Reading and Writing and gave a seminar entitled "Ruins Technique in Contemporary Iraqi Art". She participated in the exhibition "Iraq’s Past Speaks to the Present" at the British Museum in London and the exhibition "Iraqi Artist in Exile" at Station Museum in the United States of America.
2009 She held her twelfth solo exhibition, entitled "Vivid Ruins", at Mosaic Rooms in London, and participated in the "The Recessionists" exhibition in Somerset, England, and the "Modernism and Iraq" exhibition at Wallach Art Gallery at Columbia University in New York, USA.
2010 She participated in the exhibition "Art in Iraq Today" at Meem Gallery in Dubai and the exhibition "Beyond War" at LTMH Gallery in New York.
2011 She participated in the Swiss Re (Gherkin) exhibition in London, the Barjeel Art Foundation exhibition in Sharjah, the exhibition "Art in Iraq Today" at Meem Gallery in Dubai and the exhibition "Art in Iraq Today" at the Beirut Exhibition Center in Beirut.
2012 She held her thirteenth solo exhibition at Inception Gallery in Paris and participated in the exhibition "Iraq: How, Where, for whom?" at Mosaic Rooms in London and was awarded a fellowship at Chelsea College of Art in London.
2013 She held her fourteenth solo exhibition at Park Gallery in London and participated in an exhibition at Meem Gallery in Dubai, "Contemporary Art Platform" in Kuwait, and "Ten Years After: Reflections on the Invasion of Iraq" exhibition at the Chelsea College of Art and Design at the University of London in London.
2014 She held her fifteenth solo exhibition of her works on paper at Park Gallery in London, and participated in the exhibition "Reflections of War" in London and an exhibition "A Tribute to Rafa Nasiri" at Nabha Hall in Amman.
2016 She held her sixteenth solo exhibition "Biohazard" in London and participated in the exhibition "Art in Motion" in Beirut and "Biohazard" in Baghdad.
2017 She held her seventeenth solo exhibition entitled "Drone Hits Ziggurat of UR" at Al-Riwaq Art Gallery in Bahrain and participated in the Bahrain National Museum exhibition and the "Arabesque" exhibition curated by the artist at the Royal University for Women in Bahrain and the "Role in Empowering Women" exhibition in The Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts in Amman and "A Thread of Light" exhibition at P21 Gallery in London.
