He graduated from the Teachers college in Diwaniyah in year 1959. He enjoyed a one-year fellowship to Italy to study the art of sculpture on ALABASTER then entered the Academy of Arts there, which granted him the gold medal in 1972 in the exhibition of foreign artists held in the city of Carrara - Italy, as well as a medal with the diploma of the exhibition held in the city of Massa - Italy on the occasion of the New Year holidays .
After that, he returned to Iraq and began his artistic activity in the city of Hilla Al-Faiha.At the end of the seventies, he and a group of his colleagues established the Artists Syndicate to include all artists in the governorate, and he was unanimously chosen and elected to preside over it until his departure in 1991.
He contributed to all the exhibitions held by the Syndicate and the professional organizations with sculptural and plastic artworks.
He drew paintings and sketches, and participated in all exhibitions, including solo and Groups exhibitions, inside and outside the homeland.
