  • 1941 Artist Rakan Dabdoub was born in Mosul, Iraq
  • 1960/1961 He completed his studies at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad and graduated from it
  • 1962 He participated in an exhibition in Rome held by Italian-Arab cultural relations, won the Dante Award, participated in the San Vito Romano competition, and won the second prize.
  • 1965 He studied drawing and sculpture at the Academy of Rome and graduated from it. After that he worked at the University of Mosul as a teacher of art and held a solo exhibition in Baghdad
  • 1966 He participated in the Thai exhibition held in New Delhi
  • 1968 He participated in “the Battle” Exhibition held at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad
  • 1971 He participated in the Iraqi Contemporary Art Exhibition in cooperation with the Association of Iraqi Artists in Kuwait
  • 1972 He participated in the Iraqi Contemporary Art Exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad and the Al-Wasiti Festival

  • 2017 The artist passed away at the age of seventy-six in the province of Mosul, Iraq
