- Iraqi painter born in 1953 in Babil, Iraq. From 1960 – 1970, completed his primary, middle, and secondary school studies in Iraq.
- 1971 - 1976 Obtained a bachelor’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Baghdad.
- 1984 - 1998 Worked as a professor of fine arts at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Baghdad.
- 1984 Obtained a master’s degree in contemporary painting from the University of Hartford, USA, and then he obtained a doctorate in fine arts.
- 1994 - 1997 Worked as an academic and supervised many doctoral and master's thesis in fine arts.
- 1979 - 2008 Participated in many group art exhibitions, won many prizes and held many solo exhibitions inside and outside Iraq.
- 2001 - 2003 Lectured at the University of Hartford, USA.
- 2006 - 2009 Appointed as Professor of Arts and Design at the Higher Institute of Arts and Handicrafts in Selina, Tunisia.
- 2011 – 2012 Worked as an art professor and headed the fine arts department at the University of Duhok.
- 2017 Passed away at the age of 64 in Dohuk, Iraq.
