  • 1934 Artist poet, critic and politician Muzaffar Abdul Majeed Al-Nawab was born in Baghdad, Iraq, to a well-known Arab family who had lived in India for a long time and then returned to Iraq.
  • 1941 - 1951 Completed his primary, middle and high school studies in Iraq.
  • 1951 - 1955 Studied and graduated from the College of Literature at the University of Baghdad and was appointed as a teacher there and joined the ranks of the Iraqi Communist Party.
  • 1958 Worked as an inspector in the Ministry of Education.
  • At the beginning of the 1960s, he belonged to the Iraqi Impressionists Group, which was founded by the artist Hafidh Al-Droubi.
  • 1963 In this year, after the violent conflict between the nationalists and communists in Iraq intensified, he was chased by the authorities, so he resorted to Iran intending to complete his way to Moscow, but he was arrested by the Iranian intelligence, tortured and returned to Iraq. He was imprisoned, persecuted, and chased in the marshes for years.
  • 1969 For a short period, he taught in a school in Iraq, after which he left Iraq to live in Lebanon, Syria and Libya.
  • 1981 He was subjected to an assassination attempt in Greece during his four-year stay there.
  • He traveled to France and studied to obtain a master's degree at the University of Vincennes, and the subject of his thesis was about the hidden and paranormal forces in human, and he stayed there for three years.
  • Continued to practice painting during his life and created many works of art, which dedicated him to be an artist who was able to crystallize for himself his own style.
  • 2011 Returned to Iraq to stay there for a short period, then traveled to his exile and lived in Damascus, Syria.
  • May 20, 2022 Passed away in Sharjah Teaching Hospital in Sharjah, UAE at the age of eighty-eight and was buried in Al Salam Cemetery in Najaf, Iraq.
