  • Iraqi painter born in 1934 in Hilla, Babylon, Iraq.
  • 1957 Obtained a diploma of fine arts from IFA, Baghdad, and became acquainted with Arabic calligraphy as calligrapher Majid Al-Zuhdi taught him.
  • 1957 - 1961 Taught drawing in Hilla.
  • 1962 Traveled on a fellowship to Italy to complete his studies in graphic art.
  • 1966 Received 3 degrees in graphic art including (engraving, drawing, and lithography) from AFA, Rome, and won the gold medal.
  • 1966 Returned to Iraq and taught graphic art at IFA, Baghdad.
  • From 1960s onwards, held many solo exhibitions and participated in many art exhibitions inside and outside Iraq.
  • Worked as a graphic art professor, then taught colors at IFA and then at AFA, Baghdad until his retirement in the mid 1990s.
  • 1999 Passed away at the age of sixty-five in Iraq.
