July 09, 1965 Artist Mahmood Shubbar was born in Baghdad, Iraq.
1972 - 1981 He completed his elementary, middle and secondary school studies in Baghdad.
1982 - 1986 He studied and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
1985 He held his first solo exhibition at the Hall of the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
1995 He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Babylon and obtained a master's degree in painting.
1999 He participated in the International Arts Festival for Universities in Egypt and won the first prize.
2000 He participated in the International Arts Festival for Universities in Egypt.
2001 He participated in the 4 × 1 exhibition with the artists Nori Al-Rawi, Fouad Hamdi, Serwan Baran and Kazem Morshed in Damascus, Syria.
2006 He obtained a PhD in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Babylon.
2010 He held a solo exhibition at Al-Wid Foundation for Arts.
2012 He participated in the exhibition "Iraqi Diaries" at the Lebanese Painters and Sculptors Association in Beirut, Lebanon, and the exhibition "Rafidain Blogs" with artists Fakher Mohammad and Asem Abdulameer in Beirut.
2013 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Memoirs of a Man Born in 1965" at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad and participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition at the Baghdad Forum for Fine Arts "We Color Baghdad with Love and Peace" in the Fine Arts Department in Baghdad and participated in the "Message of Peace" exhibition in the Federico Secondo Foundation in Italy.
2014 He participated in the "Babylonian Hymns" exhibition at Al-Owais Cultural Foundation in Dubai, UAE.
2015 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Fast Forward" at ArtSpace Hamra in Beirut, Lebanon and the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2016 He participated in the exhibition "Iraqi Painters" of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association, the Lebanese Association of Painting and Sculpture in Beirut, and the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2017 He participated in the exhibition "Selections from Contemporary Iraqi Art" at the Tunisian Plastic Artists Union in Tunisia and the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2018 He participated in the 12th Al-Wasiti Festival for Plastic Arts in the Public Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities in Baghdad.
2019 He participated in the Group of Four exhibition in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
2020 He participated in the exhibition "Remote Dialogue" at B in Art Hall at Ahmed Al-Bahrani's atelier in Doha, Qatar.
He lives between Baghdad and Beirut and works as a freelance artist.
