1945 Artist Hassan Abd Alwan was born in Nasiriyah city in Dhi Qar province, South of Iraq.
1952 - 1962 He completed his primary, middle and secondary school studies in his hometown.
1962 - 1965 He studied and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
1966 He held a solo exhibition at the Czech Cultural Center in Baghdad.
1970 Held a solo exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1971 He participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition in cooperation with the Iraqi Artists Association in Kuwait.
1972 He participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition at the Hall of the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1973 He participated in the fifteenth exhibition of the Fine Artists Association in Baghdad.
1974 He participated in the cultural festival of Al-Thawra newspaper in Baghdad and the first anniversary of the ruling party exhibition at the Academy of Arts hall and the first Arab Biennale exhibition in Baghdad.
1975 He participated in the second anniversary of the ruling party exhibition at the Iraqi Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1976 He participated in the third anniversary of the ruling party exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1977 He participated in the fourth anniversary of the ruling party exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.

1986 He participated in the Baghdad International Festival for Plastic Arts at the Saddam Art Center in Baghdad.
He participated in an exhibition with artist Turki Abdul Amir at Al-Riwaq hall in Baghdad, and exhibited 16 works.
1992 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Folk Tales" at Faik Hassan Gallery in Baghdad.
2000 He participated in the International Festival in Tunisia and won the festival medal.
2002 He participated in the Baghdad International Festival for Fine Arts and won its prize in Baghdad.
2005 He held a solo exhibition entitled "A Thousand and One Nights" at Foresight Art gallery in Amman, Jordan.
2008 He participated in an exhibition of three artists (Turki Abdul Amir, Hassan Abd Alwan and Akram Naji) at Akkad Art Gallery in Baghdad.
2013 He participated in the exhibition "Iraqi Spaces - Joint Annual Fine Art Exhibition" at the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
He held several solo exhibitions in Tunisia, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, Lebanon and many other cities, and participated in many art exhibitions inside and outside Iraq.
November 9, 2013 The artist passed away in Baghdad at the age of sixty-eight.
2016 His works were exhibited in the exhibition "Iraqi Painters" of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association and the Lebanese Painting and Sculpture Association in Beirut.
He was a member of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association.
He was a member of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate.
He was a member of the International Association of Fine Arts.
