  • 1954 Artist Fakher Mohammed was born in Hilla City, Babel Province in central Iraq.
  • 1961 - 1971 He completed his primary, middle and high school studies in Hilla city.
  • 1973 - 1977 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad and holds a BA in Fine Arts.
  • 1977 - 1980 He completed his postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad and obtained a Master’s degree in Painting.
  • 1978 He participated in the fifth April exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
  • 1980 He participated in the exhibition of contemporary Iraqi art in Berlin and the seventh April exhibition in the hall of the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
  • 1982 He participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition to honor Picasso and Miró in Baghdad, the Second Wasiti Festival in Baghdad, and the Applications exhibitions in Bologna.
  • 1982 - 1990 He founded "The Group of Four" with artists Asem Abdul Amir, Muhammad Sabri and Hassan Abboud, and participated in all of its exhibitions that were held at the National Museum Hall and Al-Riwaq Hall in Baghdad.
  • 1983 He participated in the tenth April exhibition in Baghdad.
  • 1984 He held a solo exhibition at Al-Rasheed Hall in Baghdad and participated in the Cagnes-sur-Mer Festival in France, in which he won the Merit Award, the third Al-Wasiti Festival in Baghdad, the Artists Syndicate Exhibition in Democratic Germany, the Beirut Massacres exhibition, and the Ninetieth Day exhibition.
  • 1985 He participated in an exhibition with artists Faik Hassan and Jewad Selim, and won the Faik Hassan Silver Award for Youth, the Fourth Al-Wasiti Festival in Baghdad, in which he won an appreciation award, and the first Plastic Youth Exhibition on the occasion of the International Year of Youth in Baghdad.
  • 1986 He participated in the Fifth Al-Wasiti Festival, in which he won an appreciation award and the Baghdad Biennale for Fine Arts in Baghdad.
  • 1988 He participated in the Iraqi Art Exhibition in Cairo in Egypt and Cyprus.
  • 1989 He participated in the Iraqi Art Exhibition in Sharjah in the Emirates, in which he received a certificate of appreciation, and the Iraqi Art Exhibition entitled "Between Tigris and Euphrates" at the Arab World Institute in Paris and the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition in Sana'a and Aden in Yemen.

  • 2003 He obtained a doctorate in "Philosophy of Modern Painting" from the College of Fine Arts in Babylon and held a solo exhibition at the Tigris Hall in Baghdad and participated in an exhibition of five Iraqi artists in Tunisia and the Contemporary Iraqi Art Gallery in Paris, France.
  • 2004 He participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition in Amman.
  • 2005 He participated in an exhibition in Tunisia.
  • 2006 He participated in an exhibition of painted books at the University of Michigan in the United States of America and the Iraqi Art exhibition in Paris, France.
  • 2007 He participated in an exhibition at Antique Gallery in London and an exhibition of Iraqi artists in the Netherlands and he was appointed Associate Professor in seminars and research conferences at Sousse University in Tunisia.
  • 2008 He participated in an exhibition at Antique Gallery in London.
  • 2009 He held a solo exhibition at Akkad Hall in Baghdad and participated in an exhibition of six Iraqi artists in Tunisia and the Iraqi Art exhibitions at the Perspective Hall in Amman and "1 x 10" exhibition in Amman. He worked in the cultural and heritage laboratory at the University of Tunis.
  • 2010 He participated in the Iraqi Art Exhibition at UNESCO Hall in Beirut and the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition in China.
  • 2011 He participated in the exhibition "Signals" at Al Markhiya Gallery in Doha, Qatar.
  • 2013 He participated in the exhibition "Iraqi Spaces - Joint Annual Fine Exhibition" at the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad and the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition "We Color Baghdad with Love and Peace" at the Baghdad Forum for Plastic Arts in the Department of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
  • 2014 He participated in the Plastic Art Festival on the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Communist Party at Hiwar Art Gallery in Baghdad and an exhibition by three artists "Fakher Mohammad, Mahmoud Shubbar and Asem Abdul Amir" at the Urjwan Gallery in Beirut.
